Ariella Werden-Greenfield, Ph.D. is a scholar of religion with over fifteen years of leadership experience in higher education. She serves as Director of Multifaith Inclusion and Civil Discourse and Advisor of Antisemitism at Temple University. Ariella also chairs the university’s Interfaith Council and supports the Feinstein Center for American Jewish History. Her research and teaching center on the intersections of religion, race, and the arts.

She is coeditor of This Is Your Song Too: Phish and Contemporary Jewish Identity (Penn State University Press, 2023). Her writing also appears in academic journals and edited volumes, including Religion in Philadelphia: A Reader (Temple University Press, 2016) and Savoring Gotham: A Food Lover’s Companion to New York City (Oxford University Press, 2015).

When she is not thinking or writing about performance, power, and religion, Ariella enjoys reading, hiking, and seeing live music.
